Country Type: Fertile frontage country comprises rich river flats running from the Einasleigh River and other creeks out to red pebbly ridges. Red soil flats and sand loam ridge country cover most of Tallaroo with some rocky range country surrounding the northern and parts of the western boundary. We have bought in 4 pure Black Angus bulls "Bunya Creek Western Line" W45 by "Future Direction USA", "Bunya Creek Zeta" Z37 and "Bunya Creek Zappa" Z38 By "Burenda X-Tract" "Bunya Creek Zone" Z75 by "Raff Gardiner" and 15 stud heifers from Prue and Donald Patch, Bunya Creek stud at Dalby.

In the Red Angus we have 10 pure bred cows From Berry Reynolds IBR stud Oakey and an imported red bull from Canada we purchased from GK Red Angus Dalby, we also have a large amount of Red Angus semen to use in our Droughtmaster and Santa heifers this year.

Our Black heifers boast some impressive blood lines including "Vermilion Yellowstone USA", "Scotch Cap USA", "TC Stockman USA", "GAR Grid Maker USA", "G T Maximum USA", U"ltravoxUSA", and "C A Future Direction USA" we are breeding them to an imp black Brangus bull this year so are looking forward to some handy bull calves in late Dec 07.

Our Red Angus cows have been bred to Red Brangus bulls this year, they are "Duff Sir Lamark" Z116 and "Duff Sir Gawaine" Z118 and next year will be put in calf to our imp Red Angus Bull "GK Red Advance Australia" (ET) (AI) GK A11.

We have a line of Angus X Droughtmaster bulls on the ground now by a heard bull from Bunya Creek Y76 is by "Bunya Creek Vessel" out of a "TC Stockman" USA cow.
These are big beefy calves and most are red.

We also have a line of Droughtmaster X W45 heifers that we will AI this year to red Angus bulls, when GeneStar tested for tenderness they came back at 6 stars on the old test, we have also eaten a W45 steer and must say he is the best beef we have ever had!!
